Library Developer at the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media
Do you want to help develop our important digital service for the provision of accessible media? Are you a structured person with a sense for both user experience and operational needs? Then the role of Library Developer at the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media might be for you.
We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to everyone’s right to read based on their circumstances throughout their lives. You start from the reader's needs and see the whole picture. You are collaborative, generous with your knowledge, unpretentious, and curious about new challenges. A positive and inclusive work environment is important to you. Given a changing world and users' needs, it is also important that you welcome development, change, and a flexible approach.
About the Position
As a Library Developer, you will have a central and driving role in MTM's work with adapted media, a cohesive service that encompasses the entire chain from the reader's first contact with the library to a title being available in the agency's digital library Legimus.
In this role, you will be operationally responsible for developing, leading, and ensuring the quality of the provision process. This means you will work closely with the organization to ensure an efficient and well-functioning flow where readers receive a modern, accessible, and user-friendly service. You will follow up on methods, identify areas for improvement, and translate needs into concrete development efforts.
The development work is carried out with a clear anchoring in the organization. You will gather needs, feedback, and improvement suggestions from designated key users in the organization and act as a unifying link between operations, system support, and governance. Together with system owners and relevant managers, you will analyze and prioritize needs and contribute to planning and implementing development efforts in line with the agency's goals and development plan.
The role also involves creating consensus around methods, contributing to clear priorities, and ensuring that development occurs in a structured, needs-driven, and sustainable manner.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university or college degree in service design, service management, interaction design, computer science, library and information science, behavioral science, or an equivalent qualification deemed relevant by the employer.
- At least 2 years of current experience in leading or driving service development and/or service design processes.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience in the library sector or service development within government operations.
- Experience using AI support in analysis, prioritization, insight work, or follow-up in service development processes.
- Experience in change management related to new or changed services, including training and communication.
- Knowledge of accessibility adaptation and MTM's target groups.
To succeed in this role, you think visionarily and long-term and are not afraid to test new paths. You are structured and self-driven and have the ability to initiate and drive processes all the way from idea to implementation. You advocate for user-centered design, good information structure, and the development of accessible digital services.
